If you are staying in the Disney World or International Drive area of Orlando on the 4th of July but are looking for a free fireworks show to attend outside of the theme parks, your best options are going to start with the city of Celebration, Kissimmee, St Cloud, and Haines City.
This is Orlando Local Guide’s coverage of 4th of July Fireworks celebrations and events outside of the theme parks.
The city of Celebration is located in the Main Gate section of Orlando just outside the main entrance of Disney World. Whereas the other firework shows outside of the theme parks are being held in open areas of city parks, the Celebration Fireworks Show will be held over the lake that the town center is built upon with restaurants and shopping in the vicinity. The Celebration event will feature an Eagles Tribute Band concert at 7:30pm.
The fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 9:15pm in 2019 at the Celebration Town Center.

A short drive from the main tourist corridor, Kissimmee has an annual fireworks show each year in Lakefront Park along the shores of Lake Toho that is in walking distance of Downtown Kissimmee. A large crowd gathers each year with live music and food vendors on hand leading up the fireworks show. In 2016, Soul Asylum, The Supervillians, and Ton Loc played in concert between 5pm -10pm along with other bands with the fireworks show taking place around 9:30pm (see flyer below).

St Cloud Fireworks
A little further drive than the Kissimmee Fireworks Show is the city of St Cloud, Florida. St Cloud has an interesting setup in that it is the only spot of inland-Orlando where you can grab a blanket and watch the fireworks show while sitting on a large public beach. A splash park for the kids and seafood restaurant with al fresca dining at the marina makes the extra drive worth it. The fireworks will begin at 9:15pm over East Lake Toho.
Haines City Thunder on the Ridge
The city of Haines City is a short drive west down I-4 past the Disney exit where you would get off to go to Legoland for the Thunder on the Ridge 4th of July event. For the 2019 event there will be live music throughout the day and night that will end with a fireworks show taking place afterwards.
