For the first time, the American Pie Council is opening the doors of the APC/Crisco National Pie Championships inviting the general public to get a taste of the championships with its new Pie Learning Center. Attendees can attend learning sessions with four of the APC’s “upper crust” chefs, attend book signings and visit pie-related exhibitors for free from 1 – 4 p.m. on Friday, April 26. The center is on-site at the Caribe Royale Hotel, host hotel for the championships, in Caribbean Ballroom IV and V. Attendees will have their choices of one of four baking demonstrations at 2 p.m. and at 3 p.m. from the talented pastry chefs. The festival will be held at Lakeside Park at 631 Sycamore St. in downtown Celebration, Florida 34747. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, April 27; noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 28. Admission to the festival is free.

Who doesn't love a Mustang, whether it's a Ford Mustang from any era or a P-51 World War II fighter? This annual spring car and vintage airplane show, now in its 16th year, is the only Mustang event that showcases both restored P-51 Mustang aircraft and Ford Mustang autos of all eras, ages and styles. Show cars compete for a "People's Choice" award and the rare, restored P-51 fighters perform live aerial demonstrations. Children's activities, entertainment and photo opportunities are part of the special event, which each year attracts new fans with a shared passion for the restoration of aircraft and automobiles.

Who needs a runway? Fantasy of Flight is thrilled to be hosting the Splash-In on sparkling Lake Agnes on Thursday, April 11, 2013 as part of the 39th Annual Sun 'n Fun Fly-In. Visitors will witness a variety of seaplanes and amphibious aircraft perform water landings and takeoffs with the entire afternoon devoted to competitive flying. Fantasy of Flight's own Sikorsky S-39 and Grumman Duck are scheduled to be featured at the event.
