The best way to celebrate Halloween in Orlando with your family is by trick-or-treating and attending Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. On the opposite end of the spectrum of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, Mickey’s Halloween Party runs at the Magic Kingdom on special nights beginning on September 1st, 2014 and running through October up to Halloween on October 31st, 2014.
Mickey’s Halloween Party
Throughout the year at the Magic Kingdom, it is normal to see boys dress up as pirates and girls as a Disney Princess, but on Halloween event nights, all kids and some adults are dressed up in their favorite family-friendly Halloween costumes to attend this special party together. At the core of the party are trick-or-treat stations setup for the little ones to go trick or treating around the Magic Kingdom with Disney Characters all dressed-up in their own Halloween costumes along the way.
In addition to the trick-or-treating, Mickey’s Halloween Party is highlighted by a Halloween Parade, a Disney Villain Stage Show in front of the castle, and a Halloween Fireworks show to cap off the night called Hallowishes. There is also a dance party featuring Disney characters like Goofy. Main Street USA is decorated for Halloween with pumpkin scarecrows, dimmed lighting, and flickering jack-o-lanterns. Also, a majority of the Magic Kingdoms best rides are also running during each event with shorter lines than is typical during normal park admission.
The party runs from 6 PM to 11 PM on select nights and from 7 PM to midnight on select nights. Check the official site for hours.
Ticket prices vary for Mickey’s Halloween Party depending on the day of the week and how close the event is to October 31st with many of the cheaper dates being in September and early October. Click here to see all of the prices from the official site.
