On Saturday, January 23rd, 2016, the Seasons 52 Park Avenue 5.2k Race will be held in Winter Park, Florida along the shops, restaurants, and neighborhoods of Park Avenue. Presented by Florida Hospital and being an official Track Shack Event, the Seasons 52 5.2k race puts a little spin on the traditional 5k races most common throughout the year by adding an additional 0.2 kilometers.
Seasons 52 5.2k Race Course
The race course begins and ends in Central Park on Park Avenue in Winter Park (see course map at bottom of post) and takes you along the estate homes that have waterfront property on the Winter Park Chain of Lakes of Lake Osceola and Lake Maitland. The race also takes you in and around the Winter Park Country Club and Golf Course and Palm Cemetery. The race ends in Central Park where vendors have stations setup with orange slices, bananas, and other goodies. The Seasons 52 race is a great race to sight-see around Winter Park and past events have had over 2,000 participants.
Seasons 52 Restaurant
Seasons 52 is one of the newer restaurant concepts of Darden Restaurants, Orlando’s only Fortune 500 company, that focuses on fresh and healthy ingredients that are in-season on a changing menu. Darden’s other larger concepts include well-known brands Red Lobster and Olive Garden, and more recently the Capital Grille. Although the race is being held in Winter Park, you will need to go to Altamonte Springs or Dr. Phillips to eat dinner at a Seasons 52 as there is currently not a restaurant location in Winter Park.
