Why limit the celebration to one day? Orlando’s Independence Day weekend kicks off as early as July 2nd and runs through July 5th, with some of the region’s biggest fireworks shows happening before and after July 4th. This is our guide to celebrating Independence Day in Orlando on July 2nd, 3rd, and 5th.
Baldwin Park — Independence Bash (July 2nd)
New for 2026: Baldwin Park’s annual Independence Bash moves to Thursday, July 2nd this year — one night earlier than usual. Held at Harbor Park on Lake Baldwin, this is one of Central Florida’s biggest community Independence Day events, drawing an estimated 30,000+ guests. The free, family-friendly event runs 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and features live performances, face painters, balloon artists, and a choreographed fireworks show over the lake beginning at approximately 9:15 PM. Free admission. orlando.gov
Red Hot & Boom — Altamonte Springs (July 3rd)
Orlando’s biggest community fireworks show doesn’t happen on July 4th — it happens on July 3rd. The 29th annual Red Hot & Boom at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs draws 150,000+ people annually for over 14,000 fireworks choreographed to music. The 2026 event runs Thursday, July 3 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with fireworks launching at approximately 9:30 PM. A VIP Oasis Beer Garden is available for those wanting an upgrade. Free admission. altamonte.org
Magic Kingdom — Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky (July 3rd, 4th & 5th)
The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World launches its signature “Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” on July 3rd as well as July 4th and 5th. Fireworks explode over Seven Seas Lagoon and Cinderella Castle with patriotic music confirmed at 9:00 PM each night. Extended park hours run 9 AM to 11 PM on July 3rd. Note that Happily Ever After does not run July 3–5; Celebrate America replaces it as the nightly fireworks show.
Epcot — Heartbeat of Freedom (July 3rd, 4th & 5th)
Epcot’s patriotic “Heartbeat of Freedom” celebration also begins on July 3rd, running all three nights through July 5th. The fireworks tag follows the nightly Luminous: The Symphony of Us show — expect additional pyrotechnics from barges around World Showcase Lagoon starting around 9:15 PM. More details on Disney’s 4th of July celebrations.
Mount Dora — Freedom on the Waterfront (July 3rd)
Mount Dora celebrates on July 3rd, saving July 4th for its annual parade. Freedom on the Waterfront at Elizabeth Evans Park begins with live music at 6:00 PM, with a drone display and fireworks over the waterfront at 9:15 PM. Free admission.
Winter Park — 31st Annual 4th of July Celebration (July 3rd)
Winter Park’s 31st Annual Independence Day Celebration at Central Park Main Stage (11 S. Park Ave) runs Thursday, July 3 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a “Honoring America’s 250th Birthday” theme. The family-friendly event includes a children’s bicycle parade, kids zone (games, crafts, face painting, bounce activities), and live patriotic performances. The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum offers free admission July 3–5 (9:30 AM – 4:00 PM). Free admission.
July 5th — Disney Parks and Morse Museum
If you missed the fireworks on July 3rd or 4th, July 5th offers one final night of pyrotechnics at Walt Disney World. Magic Kingdom again hosts “Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” at 9:00 PM, and Epcot‘s “Heartbeat of Freedom” follows Luminous at 9:15 PM — with typically lighter crowds than July 4th. The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park also offers free admission on July 5th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Local Tip: Red Hot & Boom is the anchor event on July 3rd — arrive by 7 PM to secure a spot near the amphitheater at Cranes Roost Park. Parking fills the surrounding lots fast; LYNX bus service and rideshare drop-offs at Uptown Altamonte are your best bets after 6 PM.
