Christmas Lights on Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World

Cinderella Castle during Christmas

Christmas Lights, some 200,000 of them, are added to Cinderella Castle each year at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Beginning in 2007, Disney started adding the Christmas Lights to the castle and the lights have been a great addition to help celebrate the season.

Castle Lighting Ceremony

Each night during the Christmas season around dusk (ie. 6:15 pm), a special ceremony with the Disney Characters, including the Fairy Godmother and Cinderella, magically light up the castle. It is definitely an inspiring moment as the castle first lights up and the lights on the castle are turned on incrementally.
