New Disney Cruise Ship, the Disney Dream, Arrives at Port Canaveral

The newest Disney cruise ship, the Disney Dream, sailed into Port Canaveral, Tuesday, January 4th, 2011 to a crowd of waiting Disney officials and media after a 16-day voyage from Germany where the ship was built.

Disney Dream

The Disney Dream is the largest ship in the Disney fleet with a host of new amenities to lure vacationers including enchanted artwork in the atrium lobby that is brought to life by passing guests and the the first water coaster at sea.

Disney Dream Luxuries

Standard Disney Cruise luxuries can also be found on board such as adult only restaurants, pool and bars; childcare for babies through teens, a full service salon and spa, resort-style family pools, nightly shows, sporting activities, character greetings and many more.

At full occupancy the ship can accommodate 4,000 guests in 1,250 staterooms. Passengers have a range of rooms to choose from in size and view. A new feature to the Dream are virtual portholes that allow inside stateroom guests to have a real-time view of the ocean.

The ship is scheduled to set sail on January 26, 2011 for its maiden voyage. Iteranies include ports of call in the Caribbean, Alaska and Europe.
