The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is Disney World’s annual culinary event that provides sample size portions of cuisines, wine, and beer from close to 30 different countries around the World Showcase Lagoon in Epcot and is the city of Orlando’s best annual food event that is held throughout the year.
The 2018 event is Thursday, August 30th, 2018 through Monday, November 12th, 2018 and will feature bands such as Boyz II Men, Hanson, Smash Mouth, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Kenny G, and Sugar Ray among others. Disney continues to expand the scope of it’s parks and events by offering several separately priced culinary events that includes dining with celebrity chefs, beverage seminars, and hands-on workshops,
Food and Wine Festival Recommendations
Our recommendation on how to best experience the Epcot Food and Wine Festival is to find a group of friends to attend the event with and book some rooms on Disney property in the Epcot resort area (ie. Swan & Dolphin / Yacht & Beach Club) to stay at after going from country to country experiencing the different offerings. The food and wine festival is definitely a splurge if you want to experience the event to the fullest and is catered specifically to adults.
The 2018 event also includes a night-time half marathon, a decade long tradition, that ends with a celebration. This is one of the few, if not the only, night-time race events that is held in the Orlando area.
Eat to the Beat Concert Series
Each night of the festival, contemporary bands from the 80’s, 90’s, and today play at the American Gardens Theater for the Eat to the Beat Concert Series. Click here to view the 2018 concert lineup.
