The Fireworks at the Fountain celebration at Lake Eola Park is Downtown Orlando’s signature Independence Day event — and 2026 marks the 49th annual edition, with an added dimension: the nation’s 250th anniversary. Free admission, live music, and one of the best fireworks shows in Central Florida make this a can’t-miss Fourth of July.
2026 Fireworks at the Fountain
The event runs Saturday, July 4, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Lake Eola Park in Downtown Orlando. The fireworks launch at 9:10 PM, synchronized live with the Orlando Concert Band. The show is free — no ticket required.
Pre-show festivities from 4 PM include live music at the Walt Disney Amphitheater stage, a kids’ activity zone, and local food and beverage vendors throughout the park. The 2026 event carries a special America 250 theme, honoring more than two centuries of American history as the nation marks its Semiquincentennial.
Getting there: parking and transportation
The City of Orlando strongly recommends LYMMO — the free downtown circulator bus — to reach Lake Eola from surrounding parking garages. If driving, the Library Garage on Central Boulevard is the closest garage to the park. Arrive early; road closures begin well before the event:
- Robinson Street (Rosalind Ave to Summerlin Ave) — closed 7:00 AM to midnight
- Eola Drive (Robinson St to Washington St) — closed 7:00 AM to midnight
- Rosalind Avenue (South St to Robinson St) — closed 2:00 PM to midnight
- Central Boulevard (Rosalind Ave to Eola Drive) — closed 2:00 PM to midnight
Rideshare, biking, and SunRail (Church Street Station) are also solid options. Check orlando.gov for the full road closure map.
Local Tip: The north and east sides of Lake Eola give the best unobstructed views of the fountain light show and fireworks together. Stake your spot by 7 PM — the park fills up fast. If you’re taking LYMMO, note that the buses get extremely crowded after the show; consider waiting 20–30 minutes before heading to the stop.
