2026 Star Spangled Sanford 4th of July Fireworks on the Riverwalk

Fireworks over Lake Monroe at Star Spangled Sanford on the 4th of July

Outside the theme parks, one of the best fireworks shows near Orlando is right on the waterfront in the historic city of Sanford. Star Spangled Sanford returns on Friday, July 4, 2026, drawing thousands of families to Fort Mellon Park and the Sanford Riverwalk along Lake Monroe for a free evening of entertainment, street performers, and a spectacular fireworks launch from the Downtown Sanford Marina.

The celebration runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., with food trucks and vendors setting up along the Riverwalk starting at 6 p.m. for early arrivals looking to claim the best spots on the lawn. Entertainment includes cirque-style street performers and live music, with K92.3 on-site throughout the evening. The fireworks finale launches at 9:15 p.m. from the marina, with Lake Monroe providing a stunning reflective backdrop.

Fort Mellon Park’s open lawn is ideal for tailgating — bring camping chairs, blankets, and small coolers. Pop-up tents (10’x10′ maximum) are allowed but must be taken down no later than 8 p.m. for unobstructed fireworks viewing.

Kids Zone and activities

An expanded Kids Zone features bouncy houses and face painters, plus access to the park’s playground and splash pad for $2 per person — a great way to keep kids entertained during the early evening hours before the fireworks.
