Best Orlando 4th of July fireworks shows and events guide 2026

Orlando is one of America’s top Independence Day destinations — and 2026 is a banner year, with the nation turning 250. The metro area has more than a dozen fireworks shows spread across July 3rd, 4th, and 5th, from massive community events to Disney’s expanded three-night celebration. Here’s our guide to the best options in 2026.

Red Hot & Boom — July 3rd (Altamonte Springs)

Start your 4th of July weekend a day early at Red Hot & Boom, Orlando’s largest community fireworks show. The 29th annual event at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs draws 150,000+ attendees for 14,000+ fireworks choreographed to music on Thursday, July 3, fireworks at 9:30 PM. Free admission.

Walt Disney World — July 3rd, 4th, and 5th

For the first time, Disney World is running its Independence Day fireworks across three consecutive nights. Magic Kingdom’s “Celebrate America!” launches at 9:00 PM on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th, with extended park hours both nights. Note that Happily Ever After does not run those nights. Epcot’s “Heartbeat of Freedom” — which follows the nightly Luminous spectacular — runs on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th, giving Disney guests two parks with fireworks across all three nights.

Fireworks at the Fountain — July 4th (Downtown Orlando)

The 49th annual Fireworks at the Fountain at Lake Eola Park is Downtown Orlando’s signature Independence Day celebration — free, iconic, and now carrying an America 250 designation. The 2026 event runs Saturday, July 4 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with fireworks at 9:10 PM synchronized live to the Orlando Concert Band. Expect road closures throughout the downtown core starting at 2 PM.

Star Spangled Sanford — July 4th (Sanford)

Star Spangled Sanford at Ft. Mellon Park and the Riverwalk over Lake Monroe is one of Seminole County’s premier Independence Day events. The 2026 event runs Saturday, July 4 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM (food vendors from 6 PM), with fireworks by Zambelli Fireworks at 9:15 PM synchronized to patriotic music. Cirque-style performers, artisan marketplace, complimentary Ladies 327 Kids Zone, and K92.3 radio on-site. Free admission.

Winter Park 4th of July — July 3rd Evening & July 4th Morning (Winter Park)

Winter Park spreads its Independence Day celebration across two days. On Thursday, July 3 from 6:00–9:00 PM, the 31st Annual 4th of July Celebration takes over Central Park Main Stage with the Bach Festival Choir and Brass Ensemble, a children’s bicycle parade at 6:30 PM, a Happy Birthday America Patriotic Tribute at 7:00 PM, and the complimentary Ladies 327 Kids Zone. The following morning, the AdventHealth Watermelon 5K runs at 7:30 AM on July 4th along Park Avenue. The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum offers free admission July 3–5. Check the full Winter Park guide for details.

Fireworks outside the theme parks

Several surrounding communities offer free fireworks on July 4th — ideal for visitors staying near Disney or I-Drive who want to skip the theme park crowds:

Theme parks on the 4th

Beyond Disney, SeaWorld Orlando hosts its 4th of July Celebration with the all-new IGNITE drone show seamlessly transitioning into the IGNITE Fireworks Spectacular over the central lake — included with park admission. Reserved Bayside Stadium seating is available from $24.99. Universal Studios Florida runs its nightly CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular at 9:00 PM on July 4th — a cinematic fireworks and projection show included with park admission, though not a dedicated Independence Day event. LEGOLAND Florida hosts its “Red, White & BOOM!” event.

Events on July 2nd, 3rd, and 5th

The fun starts before July 4th. Baldwin Park’s Independence Bash moves to July 2nd this year (6:00–10:00 PM, fireworks at 9:15 PM over Lake Baldwin). On July 3rd, Mount Dora’s Freedom on the Waterfront offers a drone show and fireworks at 9:15 PM, and Winter Park’s 31st Annual Celebration runs 6:00–9:00 PM at Central Park Main Stage. Both Magic Kingdom and Epcot also host fireworks on July 5th — a great option for beating the July 4th crowds. See the full July 2nd, 3rd & 5th guide.
