In the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando, Stupefy is a spell used by wizards to knock out their opponents in battle. In the case of Orlando, with it’s new Harry Potter attraction going against Las Vegas and it’s new Viva Elvis attraction at Citycenter, Las Vegas is a little all shook up. Harry Potter beats Elvis Presley when it comes to the Spring Break crowds.
Orlando the Top Spring Break Destination for 2011
According to travel site Orbitz.com, Orlando is now the number one destination in the United States for Spring Break when it comes to it’s travel reservations, moving up from the number five spot from last year and knocking out traditionally top-ranked Las Vegas down to number two. Universal Studios opened it’s Harry Potter theme park and ride in the Summer of 2010 while Citycenter in Las Vegas opened up it’s Viva Elvis Cirque Du Soleil show in February of 2010.
Other Florida Cities Make Top 10 Spring Break Locations for 2011
Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, and Tampa also made the Orbitz Top 10 List for Spring Break locations for 2011. Fort Lauderdale has Las Olas Boulevard and it’s location close to South Beach. Fort Myers has Fort Myers Beach and it’s close location to both Naples and Sarasota with it’s St Armands Circle. Tampa features Clearwater Beach and New York Yankees Spring Training.
