Whether you are looking for Turkish cuisine, a restaurant on Lake Killarney, a restaurant by a movie theater, or a local gastropub, there is a restaurant for you to dine at this Valentine’s Day in Winter Park. We’ll let the Yelpers do the reviews for the restaraunts chosen. This is Orlando Local Guide’s Top 10 Restaurants to dine at in Winter Park for Valentine’s Day in 2016.

Valentine’s Day on Park Avenue

#1. Luma on ParkLuma on Park showcases Winter Park’s very sophisticated and modern side and is one of Orlando’s best restaurants overall. Similar to Hue in Thornton Park and Lago in Baldwin Park, walking into Luma resembles walking into a nice nightclub and lounge. This is the restaurant to visit if dancing will be involved later on into the evening.

#2. Park Plaza Gardens – Across the street from Luma is Park Plaza Gardens. On the first floor of the historic Park Plaza Hotel, Park Plaza Gardens serves up inspired American cuisine and an open dining room in the back of the restaurant or curbside seating at the front for dining al fresco.

#3. Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine – For a little mediterrean Valentine’s Day meal, Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine fits the bill. Start off with the mixed appetizer to get your fill of humus, tabbuli, stuffed grape leaves, and more and then get an order of LAVAS Hollow Bread, a raised airy style of bread to be eaten throughout your meal. Sis Kebab’s and Lamb are on the menu for entree’s.

Steak Houses, Lakeside Dining, and a Gastropub

#4. The Ravenous PigThe Ravenous Pig was the first known gastropub to be opened in Orlando before anyone in the city knew what one was. According to wikipedia, a gastropub is a traditional pub that concentrates on the quality of the food. The owners of the Ravenous Pig joined up with several other restaurants around Orlando in 2010 to prepare a meal at the prestigous James Beard House in New York City so you know your meal will be special.

#5. Hillstone – Hillstone, or better known as Houston’s until it changed it’s name in 2010, is somewhat of an icon in Winter Park and proudly serves the city with steaks, seafood, and prime rib (see video below). The sunset views over the dock at Lake Killarney is what separates Hillstone from the rest of the restaurants on the list for best restaurants in Winter Park.

#6. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar – Another favorite national steak house with a location in Winter Park, Flemings Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, serves fine steaks and provides an exceptional romantic and dining experience. Fleming’s is one of the three steakhouses on this list that also has some competition with Del Frisco’s down Lee Road that makes it on our Orlando list.

#7. Ruth’s Chris Steak HouseRuth’s Chris Steak House grills a fine steak and provides an upscale dining experience for Valentine’s Day. One of three Ruth’s Chris Steak Houses in Orlando, the Winter Park location is located in the Winter Park Village outdoor shopping mall that has a Regal Movie Theater so it makes for a great experience to be able to have a great steak dinner and be able to walk over to catch a movie at the theater.

#8. Chez Vincent – Our only entry in the Hannibal Square area of Winter Park, Chez Vincent is a French restaurant that is tucked away on New England Street a few blocks from Park Avenue and provides for a very intimate and quiet meal consisting of onion soup to start and filet mignon, venison, and rack of lamb on the dinner menu.

Dinner and a Movie

#9. Mitchell’s Fish Market – The newest restaurant on the list, Mitchell’s Fish Market opened up for business in Winter Park Village in 2010 in the space that previously was held by Beluga’s, who replaced the space that was previously held by Black Fin. All three being seafood restaurant concepts, this small national restaurant chain owned by Ruth’s Chris makes the third time a charm with it’s fresh seafood entree’s. Located directly across the street from the Regal Cinema in Winter Park Village, Mitchell’s is a great place to have a great seafood dinner and then catch a movie afterwards.

Hotel Dining

#10. Hamilton’s Kitchen – In 2013, Rollins College opened their new Alfond Inn Hotel along with it’s signature dining restaurant Hamilton’s Kitchen. Hamilton’s is an upscale restaurant at the hotel with an open kitchen that features steaks and seafood specialties. Although a steak entree is prominently featured on the menu, we recommend going for one of their seafood entrees along with the jalapeno honey glazed sweet potatoes as a side item. Hamilton’s is a great spot if you want to do a little weekend getaway by staying a couple of nights at the hotel that is in walking distance to park avenue and the Winter Park Boat Tour. Outside of the restaurant is an open bar that is a also a great space to spend some quality one-on-one time with your valentine.
