Update: July 29th, 2018: For many years, the best pumpkin patch in Orlando was at the St John Lutheran Church in Winter Park. The land that the pumpkin patch was on now has an office building on it. Green Meadows farm is also now closed as of this writing. This is our story about the pumpkin patches when they were still active:
When looking to get the best or most unique pumpkin to celebrate Halloween, or more importantly, get the best Halloween photographs to put in your scrapbook, the best spot for pictures and pumpkin selection is the Pumpkin Patch at St John Lutheran Church in Winter Park.
St John Pumpkin Patch
The St John Pumpkin Patch has several hundred pumpkins to choose from at the beginning of the Halloween season in early October leading up to Halloween on October 31st. Pumpkin prices range from 75 cents for mini-pumpkins up to $35 for pumpkins a few feet tall. There is a picnic table dressed with multiple-types of pumpkins, squash, and hay to get your halloween photographs and a pumpkin bean-bag game that your kids can also stick their heads through.
Pumpkin Patch Party
On Sunday, October 19th, 2014, head out St John Lutheran Church for their annual pumpkin patch party that is open to the public from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM that includes their Spookies & Cookies Concert at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary.
Outside of the St John Pumpkin Patch, another great spot to get pictures in a pumpkin patch is at the Green Meadows Petting Farm in Kissimmee.
