Orlando features a large number of art festivals throughout the year. Many are based on visual arts, including painting and ceramics. Some of them include performing and culinary arts. Nearly all of them include art displays, live music, food, and children’s activities making these art festivals fun for the entire family.

Maitland Art Festival

Hosted by the Maitland Rotary Club, more than 150 artists compete for $26,000 in prizes during these 3 days full of fun, food, and art. In addition to artwork, the Maitland Stage Band and the Master Blasters perform on stage Friday and Saturday night. The festival takes place during the first weekend of October.

The Winter Springs Art Festival features live music from various artists. In the past they’ve included Sol Y Mar, Matt the Saxman, Makeshift, and the New Covenant Jazz Ensemble, just to name a few. Paints, ceramics, sculptures, fiber creations, photographs, and jewelry, all created by Florida artists will be on display on Park Avenue for the 40th annual Winter Park Autumn Art Festival. Visitors can also enjoy live music and entertainment on Central Park Stage and food from various vendors. The festival takes place in mid-October.

Lake Mary-Heathrow Festival 

Over 200 artists will compete for $20,000 in prizes at this juried art show. Some of the different types of artwork at the show will include jewelry, glass, watercolor, photography, digital, sculpture, wood, oils and acrylics, mixed media, and clay ceramics. Children’s activities also will be available. The festival takes place in early November.

Disney’s largest annual art festival features over 150 award-winning artists. Ranked as one of the country’s finest outdoor art festivals, demonstrations include Legos, limited edition painting, chalk art, photography, sculpture, and contemporary acts from Cirque du Soleil. The festival takes place during the second weekend of November.

Altamonte Art, Craft, & Wine Festival

Artists, wine tasting, a beer tent, and entertainment highlight the Altamonte Art, Craft, & Wine Festival. All proceeds go toward local charities and is run by volunteers from the Seminole County South Rotary Club. The festival takes place in mid-November.

Named after the author of “Their Eyes Were Watching God,” the festival pays tribute to Eatonville: one of the first all-black towns to be formed after the Emancipation Proclamation. Mount Dora Art Festival

Held during Super Bowl weekend, this is one of Central Florida’s largest art festivals, attracting around 300,000 people. during the course of two days. Food vendors sell food at the festival and there are many dining choices nearby. The festival takes place during Super Bowl weekend: the final days of January or the first couple days of February.

Winter Park Art Festival

Ranked by Orlando Local Guide as the best annual art festival in Orlando, the Winter Park Art Festival is also one of the oldest. Some 350,000 are attracted during the weekend and many types of art are on display, including wood, watercolor, leather, glass, metal, painting, digital art, clay, and so forth. In addition to the long list of art on display is a long list of live music featuring brass, jazz, a capella, and children’s music. The festival takes place in mid-March.

Following the Fall version of the Fiesta in the Park Festival, the Spring version is like a giant farmer’s market attracting over 150,000 visitors each year. 200-300 participants showcase a mix of silverware, jewelry, pet clothes, paintings, and children’s bows. The festival takes place in the beginning of April.
